About s/v Star of Orion

The sailing vessel Star of Orion is a 38 foot Hunter. She is a safe and responsive coastal cruiser that has been sailing from Fort Myers and surrounding areas since the late 90's. She has sailed to the Florida Keys, Dry Tortuga's, and Bahamas.

Star of Orion sleeps 4 people very comfortably and has a galley with a three burner propane stove and oven. She carries 70 gallons of fresh water and has a 35 gallon holding tank for the head. 35 gallons of diesel fuel, which gives her a cruising range of about 235 miles.

Her saloon is extremely comfortable and has a horseshoe dinette that seats four on the starboard side and a couch on the port side as well as the navigation station. The saloon is a great place to play cribbage, Morgan's Revenge or a round or two of the Bimini Ring Game.

She is a very relaxing cruiser and has a roller furling jib as well as lazy jacks for the main sail for easy sail handling. All of her lines run directly to the cockpit.

The cockpit has a bimini shade cover as well as a dodger. There is a connecting piece that connects the two for an enclosed cockpit for weather. 40 inch wheel steering, 4 inch compass, 8 foot dingy and a 5 hp outboard for going ashore during anchoring.

Star of Orion carries complete safety equipment including, life jackets, flotation devises, life sling man over board equipment, two VHF marine radios, GPS navigation system, paper chart backups, automatic and manual bilge pumps, spare parts.

She is professionally maintained & mechanically sound, not to mention one beautiful sailboat.
