What to expect on the 3 Day Marco Island / Naples
Here you go… Enter your mini cruise vacation! Three days and two ports to visit.
First of all I have to tell you that you can be busy on this trip, or you can just relax it will be your choice and you will have options.
We will leave the dock on the first day and head out into the Gulf of Mexico and set our heading of about 160 degrees and hoist up the laundry and sail. The trip to Marco Island is about 40 miles and that will be our first stop.
There is a nice anchorage that I know that will give us a safe, protected place to spend the night. We can also launch the dingy and head into town and do a bit of exploring if you wish. Or we can just plop ourselves on the deck and enjoy boat life at it’s best.
I will prepare
your dinner while you have boat drinks and enjoy music or sound of the harbor.
It’s a very special evening enjoying drinks and dinner on your on private,
captained yacht.
After dinner, we can watch the tube, or play games or just read a book. I’ll
be checking the charts and weather for the next day. Remember the vessel is
yours. I’ll be on call for you and keep you safe and happy.
On the morning of day two, I’ll cook you breakfast and we will plan our day on the sea. We will sail off the coast and then turn into Gordon Pass. Once inside, we will work our way through the beautiful residences to a marina for our next night.
Once tied up safely at the marina, we are within walking distance to restaurants and shops. If you choose you can explore the town, or choose to stay aboard and relax. Naples is a very nice stop on your journey and I recommend at least a short walk to break up the sea days. Watch out because you will have sea legs by then and as you stand on land, you may tilt or tip every once and a while. Depending on your previous choices before you boarded Star of Orion, you can eat dinner out, or I will whip up another absolutely astounding dinner for you to enjoy.
On the morning of day three, we will leave the comfort of our little dock and head out to the comfort of the sea. We will head north up the coast and be back at Salty Sam’s Marina, right where we started from in the late afternoon. When we get back to our homeport you have Parrot Key Grill right at the dock and Fort Myers Beach just a mile away.
This cruise is designed to let you visit two of Southwest Florida’s coastal cities, as well as spend three glorious days sailing the Gulf of Mexico. I know you will enjoy one night at anchor and the other at a marina. It’s a good combination to give you the feel of what it’s like to bounce from city to city on a boat.
