What to expect on the 2 Day Marco Island
Do you want to head south? Well then this is the cruise for you. Marco Island. Maybe we will be able to find Tony’s Pizza. The best pizza on Earth according to some salty sea captains I know. But remember, they are salty sea captains.
We will leave
in the morning from Salty Sam’s Marina and head out around the northern
tip of Estero Island. Once in the Gulf of Mexico, we will continue south
for the 40-mile sail to Big Marco Pass.
Inside the pass, we will cruise to an anchorage that will be our place for
the night. Once the hook is set and we are settled in, we will launch the dingy
and head to town to stretch our legs, or we can stay onboard for happy hour
and sunset.
Before you even step aboard Star of Orion, we have discussed your meals and I will be prepping things for you gourmet dinner onboard. After dinner, we will just relax, check charts and weather for the next day and just enjoy being aboard Star of Orion.
Star of Orion has a game closet too. Cribbage, or other card games, Morgan’s Revenge or the Bimini Ring Game are available for your cruising and relaxing pleasure. Betting of goats and personal property is encouraged by the captain.
In the morning, I’ll fix breakfast and once I clean things up we will way anchor and motor out the channel to the Gulf of Mexico and sail north past Naples, Bonita Springs and Estero Island.
This is a good way to see the sites from the oceans point of view. It’s special out here and I look forward to sharing it with you and your guest(s).
