What to expect on the 2 Day Glover Bight (Bargain Cruise!)
If you are looking for a special experience and want to sail the Gulf and spend the night on the boat in a secluded anchorage AND want to do it in style AND you want to do it at a truly affordable price. I have a package for you.
I will meet you on the dock in the morning and Star of Orion will be provisioned for you and ready to go. As we plan your trip I will offer you menu selections for you dinning pleasures and that’s what will be aboard. Remember this is your cruising experience and from the first time we talk to the time you leave, your requests are met and I strive to exceed you expectations.
We will leave
the dock and head out into the Gulf of Mexico for a day of sailing. When
the tides, wind and sun tell us to, we will head up through the Sanibel Causeway
Bridge and cruise to Glover Bight.
Glover Bight is a nicely protected bay that is quite and peaceful. We will
find a good place to anchor and drop the hook for the night. If you need to
go to shore, I will launch the dingy and we can take a run over to a nearby
marina. We can also just go for a short dingy ride and explore the mangrove-lined
bay.
Glover Bight I a place to kick back and read a book, play a game, listen to music and just enjoy live aboard Star of Orion. You will experience a beautiful sunset from her deck. I will prepare your dinner as you enjoy a happy hour above or below deck. I’m a pretty good cook so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I’ve kept the crew alive for years.
In the morning, we will make our way back to the Caloosahatchee River and head down the Intracoastal Waterway and eventually to the Gulf of Mexico where we will sail by the Sanibel Lighthouse and offshore of Estero Island. (Fort Myers Beach)
We will return to Salty Sam’s Marina late afternoon and after signing the guest book you will be free to enjoy the rest of the evening. Maybe you will be drawn to experiencing Parrot Key Caribbean Grill right there at the marina.
